Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 1 December 2025
This Acceptable Use Policy describes the behaviour required of users of the Novantra platform. It supplements the Terms of Service and is binding on all accounts, regardless of tier. Conduct that violates this policy may result in a remediation request, a suspension of access, or, where the underlying breach is severe or repeated, termination of the subscription.
This policy applies to all customers, end users, and external participants who interact with the Novantra platform, regardless of tier or entitlement. It covers use of the Managed Cloud service, installer artifacts and software components used to run Sovereign deployments, the Novantra website, and the supporting APIs. Customers operating a Sovereign deployment remain responsible for enforcing this policy among the users they grant access to.
You may not use the Service to:
- Engage in unlawful activity, including activity that violates applicable data-protection, anti-fraud, sanctions, or export-control laws in your jurisdiction.
- Upload, host, or distribute content that infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, defames or harasses any person, or promotes violence or hate speech under applicable law.
- Upload, store, or transmit malware, ransomware, or any other code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to a computer system, including the Novantra platform itself.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except under the terms of our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy, or circumvent any authentication, authorisation, rate-limit, or billing control.
- Resell, sublicense, or grant third-party access to the Service outside the entitlements purchased under your subscription.
- Use the Service to develop a competing product, train a third-party machine-learning model on the platform’s output, or evade the AI-modules entitlement boundary.
- Interfere with another customer’s use of the Service, including by misusing shared infrastructure (for example, the per-IP and per-email rate limits on the Novantra website’s public-access endpoints).
Where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, our first step is normally to notify the responsible account contact and ask for remediation within a defined window (typically 5 business days, longer for complex cases). Where the breach is severe (for example, data-integrity risk to other customers, confirmed unlawful content, or active attack on the Service) we may suspend the affected account immediately while we investigate. Material or repeated breaches may result in termination of the subscription in line with the Terms of Service. Accounts subject to enforcement action may appeal by writing to legal@novantra.io.
To report misuse of the Service, email legal@novantra.io. Please include enough detail to identify the affected account or content, a description of the conduct, and your contact information so we can follow up. Suspected security vulnerabilities should be sent to security@novantra.io under the Vulnerability Disclosure Policy instead.
Questions about this Acceptable Use Policy may be sent to legal@novantra.io.
